R-4 Foreign Ministers Reaffirm Commitment to Palestinian Rights and Regional Stability


Amman: The Foreign Ministers of the R-4 Group, consisting of Egypt, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye, have reiterated their support for a comprehensive resolution to the Palestinian issue, emphasizing its significance in achieving peace in the Middle East.



According to Radio Pakistan, during their meeting in Amman, the ministers expressed their unwavering support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. This includes the right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent, sovereign Palestinian state based on the 4 June 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in line with United Nations Security Council resolutions.



The ministers also assessed the evolving regional situation and underscored the need for ongoing consultation and coordination among the four countries to enhance regional stability. They highlighted the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in fostering stability and preventing further escalation in the region.
