Quetta: A complaint filed by a resident of Faqir Muhammad Road about a disconnected clean drinking water connection has been resolved, following intervention by the Provincial Ombudsman, Nazir Muhammad Baloch. The complainant had been facing issues despite paying the water bills regularly.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the issue arose when the local WASA department disconnected the water service, citing unpaid bills by other residents on the same street. The Provincial Ombudsman directed WASA to address and resolve the matter promptly. Following this directive, the Supervisor of WASA Faqir Muhammad Road confirmed that the water connection was restored, with some residents clearing their dues and others committing to do so. The complainant also verified the restoration over the phone and expressed gratitude through a submitted letter of thanks, leading to the discontinuation of further proceedings.
