According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister emphasized the transformative potential of the technology-based subsidy initiative, which aims to enhance public welfare. He highlighted the simplification of registration and subsidy disbursement procedures, which has resulted in increased registrations and enabled more eligible citizens to access the benefits of the programme.

The Prime Minister instructed authorities to revoke the licenses of petrol pumps that do not comply with the requirements to aid registered beneficiaries under the subsidy scheme. The meeting revealed that more than 15.5 million citizens have registered for the programme, including 15.06 million motorcycle owners and 449,000 owners of vehicles with engine capacities of up to 800cc. Over 63.15 million fuel subsidy tokens have been issued, with more than 59.44 million redeemed.

Payments totaling 28.6 billion rupees have been disbursed under the fuel subsidy scheme as of November 4, 2026. Additionally, separate call centers have been established for consumers and petrol pumps to provide information and handle complaints related to the programme.
