ISLAMABAD: Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, commemorated the 78th death anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah by acknowledging his pivotal role in the creation of Pakistan and underscoring his enduring influence on the nation. Sadiq emphasized the necessity of adhering to Quaid-e-Azam’s principles of Faith, Unity, and Discipline to guide Pakistan towards progress and prosperity.

According to the National Assembly of Pakistan, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq highlighted Quaid-e-Azam’s leadership and political vision, which were instrumental in uniting the Muslims of the subcontinent for a separate homeland. Sadiq reiterated the importance of acquainting younger generations with Jinnah’s life and political thought, noting that his vision remains relevant to both the present and future of Pakistan.

Sadiq called upon the country to draw inspiration from Quaid-e-Azam’s dedication to democratic values, equality, and fundamental rights for all citizens, including religious freedoms for minorities. He stressed the importance of strengthening state institutions, promoting democratic traditions, and fostering tolerance and unity in society.

The Speaker also characterized Parliament as the custodian of Quaid-e-Azam’s democratic and constitutional vision, advocating for the supremacy of the Constitution and effective legislation for the welfare of the people. He urged political leaders and citizens to prioritize national interests and work collaboratively for the nation’s development and stability.

Additionally, Deputy Speaker Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah paid tribute to Jinnah, acknowledging his commitment to democracy, constitutionalism, and the rule of law as an invaluable legacy. Shah emphasized that adherence to Jinnah’s principles is crucial for making Pakistan a strong and prosperous country.
