Punjab Revenue Authority Reshuffles Lahore Enforcement Officers to Bolster Tax Efficiency


Lahore: The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has announced the transfer of 31 enforcement officers in Lahore as part of a strategic effort to enhance its field operations and improve tax enforcement. This administrative reshuffling is aimed at curbing revenue leakage and expanding the tax base within the region.



According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, the PRA spokesperson stated that the transfers are designed to boost the performance of the Enforcement Wing, increasing the efficiency and speed of field operations. The spokesperson emphasized that the enforcement officers’ performance will be closely monitored to ensure effective implementation of tax laws and accelerate action against tax evasion without discrimination.



The spokesperson further noted that transparency, merit, and effective oversight will remain core priorities in the PRA’s operations. The proactive measures aim to ensure that tax collection, taxpayer registration, return filing, and compliance with tax laws are conducted effectively, as part of the department’s ongoing efforts to make its enforcement mechanism more robust and results-oriented.
