Punjab Public Service Commission Revises Exam Syllabus for Revenue Posts

Lahore: The Punjab Public Service Commission has issued a correction regarding the examination syllabus for the recruitment of Tehsildar, Consolidation Officer, Hill Torrent Officer, and Reader to Member Board of Revenue positions, as advertised in Advertisement No. 18/2023. The initial notice, which appeared on October 4, 2023, in the “Jang” newspaper, announced 14 available posts with an application deadline of October 19, 2023.

The original syllabus outlined a written examination comprising four papers, each contributing to a total score of 400 marks. These included an English Essay and Composition paper, an Urdu Essay and Composition paper, a multiple-choice paper covering general knowledge and basic computer studies, and another multiple-choice paper focusing on revenue laws.

In a recent update, the Commission has revised the syllabus for the first paper, “English Essay and Composition.” The revised format now requires candidates to complete an “English Essay” only, instead of both an essay and composition. This change aims to streamline the assessment process for aspiring candidates.

The other three papers remain unchanged. The Urdu Essay and Composition paper, the general knowledge and basic computer studies multiple-choice paper, and the revenue laws multiple-choice paper will still be part of the examination.

The Commission’s announcement is crucial for candidates preparing for these examinations. Applicants are advised to take note of the revised syllabus and adjust their preparation accordingly. The Public Service Commission Punjab remains committed to ensuring a transparent and efficient recruitment process for these important positions.
