Lahore: The Traffic Management and Command Course for Traffic Officers (TOs) is progressing at the Central Police Office under the guidance of Punjab Inspector General of Police Dr. Usman Anwar. On the second day of the course, Dr. Anwar delivered a lecture aimed at enhancing the supervisory skills of Traffic Officers.
Senior officials, including Additional IG Mirza Farhan Baig, CTO Dr. Athar Waheed, DIG Capt. (R) Liaqat Ali Malik, and SSP Syed Ghazanfar Ali Shah, provided insights on command and effective management. Dr. Anwar highlighted the importance of strong relationships with the force, public, and institutions to ensure exemplary leadership. He stressed that officers showing negligence or unsatisfactory performance will face reassignment.
Mirza Farhan Baig encouraged the use of technology such as the Digital Warden App and DLIMS to improve public convenience by modernizing licensing centers and driving schools. Dr. Waheed underscored the duty of bias-free law enforcement and maintaining a consistent traffic flow.
Capt. (R) Liaqat Ali Malik spoke on the necessity of complete command over operational matters, emphasizing teamwork in addressing public concerns. SSP Shah urged officers to focus on public service and raising traffic awareness alongside law enforcement duties.
