Punjab Police Sets Record in Issuing Driving Licenses in One Day

Lahore, Following the directives of Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, the Traffic Police Punjab has set a new record in issuing over 111,000 driving licenses across the province in a single day, on Wednesday, 6th December.

According to Punjab Police, this achievement includes various types of licenses such as learner’s, national, international, and renewal licenses. In Lahore alone, around 27,000 licenses were issued, with significant numbers also recorded in Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, and Multan. The police spokesperson mentioned that more than 4.2 lakh driving licenses have been issued in the last five days.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has also initiated CCTV monitoring of all driving license centers in the province from a special data center at the Traffic Police Headquarters. Under the supervision of Additional IG Traffic Mirza Faran Baig, the issuance of licenses and challans is being closely monitored every hour. Dr. Anwar emphasized that traffic police offices and service centers across Punjab are issuing driving licenses to citizens promptly, with 24/7 service in major cities. He assured that further measures will be taken to facilitate citizens in obtaining driving licenses conveniently.
