Punjab Police Repatriates Over 36,000 Illegally Residing Foreign Nationals


Lahore: Punjab Police has deported 36,545 foreign nationals, including Afghan nationals, who were residing illegally across the province, according to a statement by the Punjab Police spokesperson. The repatriation process is ongoing, with 504 individuals currently at various holding points.



According to Punjab Police, the deported individuals include 14,614 men, 7,234 women, and 14,697 children. Among them, 11,124 held Proof of Residence documents, 11,137 were Afghan Citizen Card holders, and 14,284 were without legal residency. Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem stated that the province remains on high alert and emphasized that the repatriation process is being conducted in compliance with international laws.
