Lahore: In a notable development, the Punjab Police has successfully reclaimed two significant properties de-sealed by the Evacuee Trust Property Board, following the efforts of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar. These properties, Abbas Lines and the Elite Training School, had been sealed since 2003, causing complications for the police force’s accommodation, training, and administrative operations.
According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, the buildings were initially sealed by the Evacuee Trust Property Board, impacting the functionality of the police force. The recent decision to de-seal these properties mark a milestone for the Punjab Police, facilitating improved logistical support for their operations.
The Additional Inspector General Elite, Dr. Muhammad Waqar Abbasi, emphasized that the now-accessible buildings will be utilized for critical administrative purposes and barracks training. This development is expected to enhance the capacity and efficiency of the Punjab Police in fulfilling its duties.
