Lahore: The Punjab Police marked the conclusion of its 12th and 13th internship batches with a ceremony at the Central Police Office in Lahore. Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem awarded certificates to the participants, emphasizing the importance of academic partnerships for education and research advancement.
According to Punjab Police, the internship program included 35 students from the University of the Punjab and 30 from Lahore Garrison University. Over six weeks, students were integrated into various branches of the Punjab Police, including CTD, Safe Cities Authority, and Traffic, where they received hands-on training and submitted reports reflecting their learning experiences. The program has provided internships to 463 students to date.
The ceremony concluded with the exchange of souvenirs and commemorative shields between the Punjab Police and representatives of the participating educational institutions. The event was attended by senior police officers and academic leaders, underscoring the collaboration between law enforcement and academia.
