Lahore: Athletes from various divisions of the Lahore police department demonstrated strong performances at the Annual Inter-District Police Athletics Championship 2026, held under the auspices of Pakistan Police. According to Punjab Police, the championship featured teams from Sports Wing Lahore, Dolphin Squad, Investigation Lahore, Telecommunication Lahore, and Elite Force Lahore, competing in events such as 100 meters, 400 meters, 1500 meters races, shot put, long jump, and 100 meters relay. Sports Wing Lahore claimed the first position, followed by Investigation Lahore and Dolphin Squad in second and third places, respectively.
Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem commended the athletes for their achievements and congratulated them on their success. Chief Sports Officer Athar Ismail Amjad noted the selection of talented players through these inter-district tournaments for inclusion in police teams, highlighting future opportunities for these athletes to join national teams.
