Punjab Police Celebrates Promotion of Tele Transport and Communication Officers

Lahore, The Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, hosted a ceremony at the Central Police Office to honor the newly promoted officers and officials of the Tele Transport and Communication Wing. More than 60 officers and officials received their new ranks in the presence of their families and relatives.

According to Punjab Police, a significant number of promotions occurred within the Telecommunication Wing this year, with 612 officers and officials being promoted on December 6th alone. The promotions included 566 wireless operators, 36 telephone operators, 09 mechanics, and 01 daak runner. This year, a total of 1569 officers and officials from the wing have been elevated, including promotions from sub-inspectors to inspectors, ASIs to sub-inspectors, head constables to ASIs, and constables to head constables.

During the ceremony, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar congratulated the officers and officials on their departmental promotions. He acknowledged the crucial role of wireless operators in daily policing and the importance of the telecommunication wing. Anwar highlighted the ongoing modernization of the telecommunication wing, which has contributed to improved service delivery and more effective actions against criminals, thereby enhancing the image of the Punjab Police.

The ceremony also included information about the Pasban project, under which trackers, tagging, and WhatsApp facilities will be available in every police vehicle. Anwar expressed gratitude to the Punjab Chief Minister for his full support in modernizing the police force with advanced resources.

The event was attended by notable police officials, including Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, DIG Establishment One Dr. Inam Waheed, DIG Telecommunication Imran Ahmar, SSP Tele Asad Sarfraz Khan, AIG Discipline Ahsan Saifullah, among others.
