Punjab Police and Welfare Organization Collaborate for Homeless Children’s Protection

Lahore, The Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, met with representatives from Holistic Foster Care, a private welfare organization dedicated to protecting homeless children, at the Central Police Office. The meeting focused on establishing Tahaffuz Manzil, an orphanage for homeless, orphaned, and abandoned children.

According to Punjab Police, the delegation, which included Director Ibtisam-ur-Rehman, COO Hira Javed, and social activist Zufishan Anoushe, discussed collaborating with Punjab Police to set up Tahaffuz Manzil in Lahore. The plan involves employing women facing social issues as volunteer foster mothers to provide maternal care and a home environment to the children. The initiative aims to offer education, food, and training facilities for orphan children, supported by various organizations. The meeting also delved into the administrative aspects, objectives, and scope of work of Tahaffuz Manzil. Senior officers, including Additional IG Muhammad Riaz Nazir Gara, Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, DIG Waqas Nazir, SSP Sahibzada Bilal Umar, and AIG Amara Athar, participated in the discussion.
