LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif held a meeting on Wednesday with Members of the Provincial Assembly Khalid Mehmood Ranjha and Chaudhry Akhtar Abbas Bosal from Mandi Bahauddin to address public issues and the prevailing political situation in the region.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, the lawmakers briefed the chief minister on the concerns and needs of residents in constituencies PP-42 and PP-43. In response, Sharif instructed relevant authorities to ensure the prompt resolution of the issues raised by the lawmakers.
The meeting also highlighted the recent launch of an electric bus service in Mandi Bahauddin. The MPs commended the chief minister for efforts in beautifying both major and smaller cities across Punjab. Sharif announced plans to introduce more electric buses, not only in Mandi Bahauddin but also in other districts of Punjab.
Sharif reiterated the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s commitment to fulfilling promises made to the public, supported by the construction and expansion of over 32,000 kilometers of roads. This infrastructure development is expected to enhance economic and commercial activities throughout the province.
The chief minister further noted the international recognition earned by initiatives such as the Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar programme, the Safe City initiative, and the Suthra Punjab campaign, emphasizing the Punjab government’s dedication to effective governance.
