Punjab Chief Minister Commemorates Police Martyrs’ Sacrifices on Police Martyrs’ Day


LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif paid tribute to police martyrs, acknowledging their sacrifices for the nation and commending their families’ resilience on Police Martyrs’ Day. She emphasized the Punjab Police’s role in combating terrorism and crime, and highlighted government efforts for the welfare of martyrs’ families.



According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, the chief minister stated that the Punjab government is committed to providing quality education, healthcare, and housing for the children of police martyrs. She noted that the combined efforts of the police and initiatives such as the Safe City Project have contributed to Lahore’s improved safety rankings globally. Nawaz Sharif also mentioned ongoing enhancements in police resources, including modern equipment and infrastructure, to bolster law enforcement capabilities. She cited the riverine areas as an example of progress achieved through the sacrifices of police martyrs.
