Provincial Minister Outlines Expansion of Vocational Education in Tribal Districts

Peshawar, Provincial Minister for Labour Fazal Shakur Khan emphasized the expansion of vocational and technical education in the newly merged tribal districts as a strategy to reduce unemployment and promote self-sufficiency among residents, particularly women.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Minister Khan detailed plans to establish vocational and technical institutions that will provide training tailored to local needs and traditions, allowing women to work from their homes. He spoke at an event in Charsadda where he inaugurated a one-day exhibition festival organized by the labor department. During the event, sewing machines and prizes were distributed to participants who completed various vocational courses.

Minister Khan highlighted the importance of expanding education opportunities to not just traditional professions like doctors or engineers but to all sectors that can benefit from skilled labor. The initiative aims to empower women in the tribal districts by providing them with the skills necessary to gain dignified employment within their communities.
