Lahore: An important meeting on the situation of Bhir Nullah and Pathan Colony was chaired by the Provincial Minister for Communication & Works, Malik Sohaib Ahmad Bharth. The minister directed concerned officers to take immediate action following a detailed briefing on the current state of Bhir Nullah in Ferozewala.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, the meeting was informed that the Highways Sheikhupura team is actively working in the field, with ongoing relief activities. Rapid material filling work is being conducted to restore access to Pathan Colony. The Provincial Minister emphasized the need to strengthen safety and precautionary measures around Bhir Nullah and instructed officers to remain in the field for continuous monitoring.
The meeting further directed that full support be provided to the district administration. The Provincial Minister stated that all available resources are being utilized to manage the emergency, with necessary steps being taken to drain rainwater and ensure the smooth flow of traffic. Malik Sohaib Ahmad Bharth highlighted that the Communication & Works Department is fully engaged in providing safe and uninterrupted travel facilities to the public.
