Lahore: Provincial Minister for Communications & Works, Malik Sohaib Ahmed Bharth, carried out an inspection of the ongoing road construction and improvement projects in Sahiwal, focusing on the quality and pace of development. The Minister’s visit included assessments of the road from N-5 to Chak 110/12-L-111/12-L via Chak 112/12-L, as well as the road from Chak 1/14-L to 38/14-L.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, the Minister stressed the importance of ensuring proper dressing of earth berms and immediate compaction. He highlighted the need for particular attention to be paid to all under-construction roads, emphasizing that quality should not be compromised. Bharth instructed that attention should also be directed towards shoulders, berms, populated areas, and road furniture.

The provincial minister further mandated that field officers and staff maintain a presence at construction sites for effective monitoring of contractors and immediate rectification of any shortcomings. He underscored that no construction work would be accepted without proper quality verification.
