LAHORE: A group of 10 probationary army officers from the 52nd Common Training Program undertook an educational visit to the Central Police Office (CPO) in Lahore. The delegation, led by Additional Director of Civil Services Academy, Qadar Nawaz, included officers from the Pakistan Army, Air Force, and Navy.

During the visit, DIG Operations Punjab, Waqas Nazir, provided a comprehensive lecture detailing the operations of the Punjab Police. The officers were briefed on a range of topics including investigations, traffic management, and modern crime control projects. They also gained insights into the workings of Khidmat and Tahaffuz Centres, Meesaq Centres, and Special Initiative Police Stations.

Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, addressed the officers, emphasizing the dual focus of the Punjab Police on crime prevention and community policing. He highlighted initiatives designed to support marginalized groups, such as transgender persons, women, children, and persons with disabilities.

Dr. Anwar stressed the importance of modern services in policing, pointing out that the Punjab Police is committed to integrating advanced training and resources in their operations. Following his address, he engaged with the officers, answering questions about the department’s operations.

The visit was attended by senior police officials, including Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry and other high-ranking officers from various departments within the Punjab Police.
