Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his Qatari counterpart, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, held a telephone conversation earlier today to discuss ongoing peace efforts in the region. The leaders exchanged views on the evolving regional situation and reviewed the progress of current initiatives aimed at fostering peace.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan expressed gratitude for Qatar’s continued support for Pakistan’s peace initiatives. He emphasized the strong ties between the two nations and underscored the importance of constructive engagement by all parties to ensure the success of ongoing peace efforts.
During the conversation, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif conveyed his regards to the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and expressed anticipation for the Amir’s upcoming visit to Pakistan. He noted that the visit would serve to further strengthen and expand the longstanding partnership between Pakistan and Qatar.
