Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir Warns Against Misadventures Targeting Pakistan


Rawalpindi: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, issued a stern warning against any military misadventure targeting Pakistan, stating that such actions would lead to severe and lasting repercussions. His remarks came during a commemorative ceremony marking the first anniversary of Pakistan’s significant victory in Marka-e-Haq, held at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.



According to Radio Pakistan, Field Marshal Munir highlighted Pakistan’s unprecedented success in Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos, describing the conflict as a decisive ideological battle. He emphasized that while India aims to alter the regional power balance through military and diplomatic means, such ambitions are beyond its reach. The Army Chief noted that India faced considerable losses during the conflict, which will have enduring effects.



Field Marshal Munir detailed the effectiveness of Pakistan’s military operations, citing the successful targeting of twenty-six enemy installations by Fatah missiles and the Pakistan Air Force. He affirmed the nation’s impregnable defense against external threats and paid homage to the sacrifices of martyrs and veterans, including civilians, in the struggle.



He announced the establishment of a Defence Forces Headquarters to modernize the armed forces in line with contemporary warfare, which includes multi-domain operations and advanced technologies. The Field Marshal also highlighted Pakistan’s diplomatic strides, such as the strategic defense agreement with Saudi Arabia, and reiterated the country’s commitment to supporting Jammu and Kashmir.



Addressing the ongoing threat of terrorism, Field Marshal Munir encouraged Afghanistan to dismantle terrorist havens on its territory. He commended the resilience of the people and security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan and pledged continued efforts to eliminate terrorism.



Concluding his address, Field Marshal Munir expressed confidence in Pakistan’s future, asserting the nation’s invincibility and the enduring strength of its people and armed forces.
