Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif engaged in a telephonic conversation with Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Monday, to extend Eid-ul-Fitr greetings and discuss bilateral relations between Pakistan and Malaysia.
During the call, Prime Minister Shehbaz reminisced about Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s visit to Pakistan in October of the previous year. He expressed contentment over the strengthening ties between the two countries and reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to enhancing collaboration with Malaysia across various sectors.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim emphasized the significance of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s upcoming visit to Kuala Lumpur scheduled for May. He noted that preparations were underway to ensure the visit’s success, expressing optimism that it would further solidify the enduring relationship between Pakistan and Malaysia.
Prime Minister Shehbaz expressed his gratitude for the warm sentiments and looked forward to his visit, anticipating positive outcomes for both nations.
Additionally, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim extended Eid greetings to former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif during the conversation. The leaders exchanged Eid wishes, highlighting the goodwill between the two.
The dialogue highlighted the strong diplomatic and friendly relations between Pakistan and Malaysia, with both leaders reaffirming their commitment to stronger future cooperation.
