Prime Minister Urges Turkish Investors to Explore Opportunities in Pakistan


ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has extended an invitation to Turkish businessmen and investors, encouraging them to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan. Addressing the Pakistan-Turkiye Business Forum in Islamabad, he emphasized the commitment of both nations to achieve a bilateral trade target of $5 billion.



According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of transforming signed Memorandums of Understanding and agreements into actionable projects. He assured support for all initiatives at both business-to-business and government-to-government levels aimed at enhancing business activities.



Prime Minister Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to assist Turkish investors, businessmen, and entrepreneurs. He extended a warm welcome, describing Pakistan as a “second home” for Turkish investors and underscoring the historic friendship between the two nations, dating back to the pre-partition era.



Expressing a strong resolve for future collaboration, the Prime Minister stated that the relationship between Pakistan and Turkiye should be as close as “two souls, one heart.” He praised Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, recognizing him as a prominent leader for the Islamic world and a vocal advocate for oppressed communities, including those in Gaza, Palestine, and Kashmir.
