Islamabad: A meeting was convened at the Finance Division between Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, the Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, and Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, the Governor of Punjab. The discussion centered on economic development, challenges, and growth opportunities.
According to Press Information Department, the Governor praised the Finance Minister and his team for steering the nation through economic difficulties. He highlighted the notable improvements in Pakistan’s economy over the past year. Senator Aurangzeb credited Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his leadership in stabilizing the economy and charting a path for sustainable growth.
The Finance Minister also acknowledged the support from President Asif Ali Zardari in economic management and national economic concerns. He commended Governor Punjab’s engagement with the business community, emphasizing the private sector’s role in driving future economic progress.
Both leaders agreed on the agriculture sector’s significance as a future growth pillar, recognizing its potential to boost the country’s economic development if prioritized effectively.
