Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called for immediate de-escalation after an incident at the Khor Fakkan port in the United Arab Emirates resulted in injuries to civilians, including Pakistani nationals. The statement highlights Sharif’s concern over regional tensions and his commitment to supporting affected individuals.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister expressed his concerns via a post on the social media platform X, where he also wished for the swift recovery of those injured. He emphasized that the Pakistani government is maintaining close communication with UAE authorities to provide necessary assistance to its citizens.
In his message, Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s solidarity with the UAE, describing the country as a “brotherly” nation. He underscored the critical need for restraint and de-escalation to prevent further incidents in the region.
