Prime Minister Urges Global Cooperation Following Natural Disasters

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has urged the global community to enhance cooperative efforts in response to natural disasters, such as earthquakes.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister made this appeal in a message on the International Day in Memory of the Victims of Earthquakes. He expressed Pakistan’s solidarity with earthquake victims and those affected by natural disasters worldwide. Highlighting the devastating earthquake of October 2005 in Pakistan, Prime Minister Sharif noted that the country implemented comprehensive institutional reforms to boost its disaster management capabilities.

The Prime Minister also underscored the necessity for equitable access to early warning systems and the construction of earthquake-resilient infrastructure, emphasizing the importance of preparedness and resilience in disaster-prone regions.
