Doha: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, along with former Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, visited Qatar for a one-day trip to express condolences on the passing of the former Amir of Qatar. The Prime Minister’s delegation was welcomed at Doha Airport by Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence, Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan bin Ali Al Thani.
According to Press Information Department, the Prime Minister is scheduled to meet with His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, at Lusail Palace. The meeting’s purpose is to convey condolences to the Amir, the Qatari Royal Family, and the nation of Qatar on the demise of the late Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar are also part of the delegation accompanying the Prime Minister.
