Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Engage in High-Level Meetings in Beijing

BEIJING: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is set to engage in a series of high-level meetings with Chinese leaders in Beijing today. The agenda includes discussions with President Xi Jinping, Prime Minister Li Qiang, and other senior officials, indicating a significant diplomatic engagement between the two nations.

According to Radio Pakistan, upon his arrival at the Great Hall of the People, Prime Minister Sharif will be received by Prime Minister Li Qiang and will be honored with a guard of honor. The two leaders will hold discussions at the delegation level, followed by a ceremony for the exchange of memorandums of understanding and agreements aimed at strengthening bilateral ties.

The Prime Minister’s itinerary also includes a visit to Tiananmen Square, where he will lay a wreath at the Monument to the People’s Heroes. Additionally, meetings with leading Chinese investors and CEOs of Chinese companies are on the schedule, reflecting a focus on economic collaboration.

The day will culminate with a ceremony marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, attended by Prime Minister Sharif and senior Chinese leadership, underscoring the longstanding partnership between the two countries.
