BEIJING: Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan has engaged with prominent Chinese enterprises during his visit to China, encouraging them to invest in Pakistan’s key sectors. According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions centered on enhancing cooperation in areas such as textile, agriculture, mining, e-commerce, and food.
The meetings highlighted potential Chinese investments in Pakistan’s textile sector and the promotion of modern technology. Minister Khan emphasized Pakistan’s strategic geographic location and assured the Chinese business community of the government’s commitment to facilitating long-term investments in productive sectors.
Both parties agreed to foster digital trade and e-commerce collaboration, aiming to provide Pakistani exporters with improved access to the Chinese market. The discussions also focused on increasing exports of sesame, agricultural commodities, and food products from Pakistan to China.
