ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif paid a visit to the Embassy of Nepal in Islamabad to sign a condolence book honoring the victims of recent flash floods and landslides in Nepal. The Prime Minister, accompanied by Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, SAPM Syed Tariq Fatemi, Foreign Secretary Amb. Amna Baloch, and other senior officials, expressed deep sympathies to the Nepali government and people.

According to Press Information Department, the Prime Minister was welcomed by H.E. Ms. Rita Dhital, Ambassador of Nepal to Pakistan. During his visit, he reiterated sentiments previously shared with Nepali Prime Minister Balendra Shah, emphasizing Pakistan’s solidarity with Nepal during this difficult time. The Prime Minister announced that Pakistan would send emergency relief assistance to Nepal later this week to aid ongoing rescue and relief efforts.

Additionally, the Prime Minister highlighted the strong fraternal ties between Pakistan and Nepal, expressing confidence in the resilience of the Nepali people and offering continued support. Ambassador Dhital expressed gratitude for the Prime Minister’s supportive words and noted that the gesture would be remembered by the people of Nepal. She also provided an update on the current state of bilateral cooperation between the two nations.
