ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Kuwait, following a meeting with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah in Islamabad. The Prime Minister expressed solidarity with Kuwait in light of recent regional tensions and condemned the attacks on Kuwait and other Gulf nations.

According to Radio Pakistan, during the meeting, the Prime Minister extended his best wishes to Kuwait’s leadership, including Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah. He underscored the longstanding relationship between Pakistan and Kuwait, based on shared values and mutual trust.

Prime Minister Sharif emphasized Pakistan’s role as a mediator in regional peace efforts and expressed gratitude for Kuwait’s support in these endeavors. He acknowledged the contributions of the Pakistani community in Kuwait to the country’s socio-economic development.

In response, the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister conveyed the greetings and best wishes of Kuwait’s leadership and confirmed Kuwait’s commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation. He also praised Pakistan’s efforts to promote dialogue and diplomacy in resolving the ongoing regional crisis.

Both parties agreed to maintain close consultations and coordination on mutual interests and plan to exchange high-level delegations soon. Prime Minister Sharif also reiterated his invitation to the Crown Prince of Kuwait for an official visit to Pakistan.
