Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar of Pakistan held a telephone conversation with Egypt’s Foreign Minister, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, focusing on the intensifying crisis in Palestine.
According to Radio Pakistan, the two officials voiced significant concern over the ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza and the West Bank, as well as violence from settlers and violations at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in East Jerusalem. They called for an immediate cessation of hostilities, the provision of humanitarian aid without obstacles, and adherence to international law.
The discussion also covered Jordan’s initiative to gather Arab and Islamic nations for a meeting aimed at diplomatic coordination in support of Palestinians. Both ministers emphasized restraint, dialogue, and diplomacy to avert further escalation and maintain regional stability.
