Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed approval of Pakistan’s upgraded credit rating to Triple C Plus by Fitch, recognizing it as a testament to the government’s economic policies.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister praised the efforts of Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and his team for their role in achieving this rating upgrade. He remarked that the country is beginning to reap the economic benefits of prioritizing state interests over political considerations.
Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that the Triple C Plus rating symbolizes international acknowledgment of the government’s prudent economic management. He committed to continuing vigorous efforts in economic reforms, asserting that the government will persistently work to ensure that the populace feels the positive impact of these policies.
The Prime Minister also noted the significance of evaluations by Fitch and other international financial institutions in bolstering Pakistan’s economic status. He expressed optimism about the new IMF program, hoping it will further reinforce Pakistan’s endeavors towards economic stability.
