Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Extends Eid Greetings to Iranian President


Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif engaged in a telephone conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Monday, extending greetings on the occasion of Eidul-Fitr. The prime minister conveyed warm wishes to the Iranian president, the Supreme Leader of Iran, and the people of Iran.



During the discussion, Prime Minister Sharif highlighted the deep fraternal ties between Pakistan and Iran. He emphasized the potential benefits of enhanced trade between the neighboring countries and underscored the importance of cooperation to address mutual challenges such as border security.



Recalling previous meetings with President Pezeshkian in New York and Cairo last year, Prime Minister Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Iran. He expressed a desire to enhance cooperation across various areas of mutual interest.



The conversation, as reported by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, signifies ongoing efforts to fortify ties between the two nations.
