Bishkek: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has embarked on a three-day official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic, following an invitation from President Sadyr Nurgozhoevich Zhaparov. The visit will see the Prime Minister attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Council of Heads of State meeting and the SCO Plus Summit, where he will also assume Pakistan’s Chairmanship of the SCO Council of Heads of State for the coming year.
According to Radio Pakistan, during his visit, Prime Minister Sharif will engage in bilateral meetings with leaders from participating countries and attend the opening ceremony of the World Nomad Games in Bishkek. Additionally, he is scheduled to hold discussions with President Sadyr Zhaparov, focusing on the full spectrum of Pakistan-Kyrgyzstan relations. These discussions aim to explore opportunities to enhance bilateral cooperation in areas such as trade and investment, energy, regional connectivity, education, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.
