Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has acknowledged United States President Donald Trump’s significant involvement in fostering peace in South Asia. According to Radio Pakistan, Sharif highlighted Trump’s timely intervention, which played a crucial role in de-escalating tensions between Pakistan and India and securing a ceasefire that remains in effect.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister emphasized that President Trump’s efforts were pivotal in preventing conflict in the region. In recognition of these contributions, Pakistan has nominated Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize. Sharif expressed hope that Trump’s efforts to promote peace and prevent conflict in South Asia would be duly recognized.
