Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Begins Two-Day Official Visit to Tajikistan

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif embarked on a two-day official visit to Tajikistan, departing from Islamabad to meet with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon in Dushanbe. The visit, highlighted by diplomatic talks and the signing of bilateral agreements, underscores a strengthening partnership between the two nations.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, The Prime Minister is visiting at the personal invitation of President Rahmon. Accompanying Prime Minister Sharif are key members of his cabinet including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi.

During his stay, Prime Minister Sharif will honor Tajikistan’s national hero, Ismail Samani, by laying a floral wreath at his monument. His itinerary includes a meeting with President Rahmon at Qasr-e-Millat, where they will witness the signing of several bilateral agreements and Memorandums of Understanding in various fields. Both leaders are scheduled to address a joint press conference following the ceremonies.

The visit will culminate with a dinner hosted by President Rahmon at Qasr-e-Nowruz, celebrating the diplomatic ties and discussions held during the Prime Minister’s visit.
