Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif engaged in a telephone conversation with Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, to discuss key diplomatic developments, including an upcoming negotiation between Iran and the U.S. in Islamabad. The dialogue underscores the commitment of both nations to seek resolution through dialogue.
According to Press Information Department, the conversation, which lasted over forty-five minutes, allowed Prime Minister Sharif to express his appreciation for the Iranian leadership’s agreement to a ceasefire and their acceptance of his offer to host upcoming negotiations. Additionally, he conveyed his respects to Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei. President Pezeshkian expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s role in facilitating the temporary ceasefire and affirmed Iran’s participation in the forthcoming negotiations. Both leaders agreed to maintain close communication moving forward.
