Prime Minister Sharif Embarks on Diplomatic Mission to Belarus

Minsk: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has embarked on a two-day official visit to Belarus, aiming to bolster bilateral relations and explore new avenues of cooperation. The visit comes at the invitation of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko, highlighting the ongoing engagement between the two nations.

During his stay, Prime Minister Sharif is scheduled to engage in discussions with President Lukashenko to assess progress in areas of mutual interest. The talks are expected to result in the signing of several agreements, further solidifying the partnership between Pakistan and Belarus.

The visit builds on recent diplomatic exchanges, including the 8th Session of the Joint Ministerial Commission held in February. These engagements have set the stage for the Prime Minister’s visit, which seeks to enhance collaboration in various sectors.

Accompanying the Prime Minister are key officials, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi. Their presence underscores the significance Pakistan places on its relationship with Belarus.

This visit follows President Lukashenko’s official trip to Pakistan in November last year, marking another chapter in the ongoing dialogue between the two countries.
