Prime Minister Sharif Calls for Action on UN Report Detailing Israeli Actions Against Palestinians

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called for immediate international action in response to a UN report detailing forced evictions and malnutrition among Palestinian children. The report, issued by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), outlines severe allegations against Israeli practices in Palestinian territories.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister emphasized that the UN report provides new evidence of what he described as genocide against Palestinians by Israel. He highlighted the alarming rate of forced evictions, with 250,000 Palestinians reportedly removed from their homes in August alone, and pointed to the acute targeting of Palestinian children.

The report also reveals that in northern Gaza, only one percent of children have access to adequate food supplies, with slightly better conditions in southern Gaza where six percent are fed adequately. Prime Minister Sharif condemned these actions as a dual strategy of violence and starvation used against the Palestinian population, calling it a significant challenge to international norms and legal standards.

He stressed the need for accountability and protection for the oppressed, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to expedite food delivery to the affected regions, especially for children.
