Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed Pakistan’s intent to intensify collaboration with development partners on climate resilience projects, particularly in agriculture, during a meeting with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) delegation led by President Masatsugu Asakawa.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister detailed Pakistan’s recent initiatives aimed at economic reform and resilience in response to climatic challenges, acknowledging ADB’s support with a focus on recent funding exceeding 1.5 billion US dollars for flood relief. President Asakawa praised Pakistan’s reform efforts and reassured continuous support from ADB, highlighting upcoming projects in infrastructure and institutional reforms aimed at bolstering Pakistan’s climate resilience and economic stability.
