Changsha: President Asif Ali Zardari has awarded the Sitara-e-Pakistan to Professor Pan Xiangbin, acknowledging his significant contributions to cardiac care and his service to patients in Pakistan. The honor was presented during a special ceremony held in Changsha, Hunan Province.
According to Radio Pakistan, Professor Pan’s efforts in Pakistan have been instrumental, particularly during his visit in January last year. During this visit, Professor Pan and his team conducted critical life-saving procedures on children suffering from congenital heart disease. Additionally, they provided specialized training to Pakistani medical professionals in advanced interventional techniques, aiming to enhance the country’s healthcare capacity.
President Zardari highlighted that Professor Pan’s contributions have not only improved healthcare outcomes in Pakistan but also exemplified the collaborative spirit and tangible benefits of the cooperation between Pakistan and China.
