Sanya, Hainan, China: President Asif Ali Zardari witnessed the signing of a joint venture agreement and two memorandums of understanding between Pakistani and Chinese organizations, focusing on construction machinery, animal health, and medical technology. These engagements aim to promote practical cooperation in key sectors.
According to Press Information Department, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Al Hassan Trade Establishment, Sany International Development, and Hainan Jiaolong International Technology. The collaboration targets high-end equipment, construction machinery, and supports the China Pakistan Economic Corridor. It emphasizes cooperation in machinery supply, talent training, and after-sales services, while exploring investment in Pakistani factories for localized production. The MoU was signed by Senator Saleem Mandviwalla, Sany Group’s Vice President Li Qin, and Hainan Jiaolong’s Chairman Hao Jiaolong.
A joint venture agreement was established between Sindh’s Livestock and Fisheries Department and China’s Luoyang Modern Biology Group for animal vaccine distribution in Pakistan, including Foot-and-Mouth Disease vaccines. It includes technology exchange and future cooperation on animal traceability systems. The agreement was signed by Sindh’s Senior Provincial Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon and Luoyang’s Chairman Wang Shanpu.
Another MoU was signed between Dr Ziauddin Hospital and Shenzhen Weibang Technology for developing a cooperative model in medical technology. It focuses on medical intelligent robots’ application in clinical medicine to support Pakistan’s health system development. Dr Anoop Kumar Dawani from Dr Ziauddin Hospital and Shenzhen Weibang’s Deputy General Manager Deng Haitao signed the MoU.
A documentary celebrating 75 years of Pakistan-China friendship was screened at the event, attended by officials including Mr. Ali Hassan Brohi, Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar, Sindh’s Chief Secretary, and Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi.
