Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has extended his congratulations to the Government and people of Malaysia on their 69th Independence Day, Merdeka Day. In a message to Sultan Ibrahim, Malaysia’s Yang Di-Pertuan Agong, Zardari highlighted the significance of this day in Malaysia’s history.

According to Press Information Department, President Zardari’s letter emphasized the shared values and mutual cooperation between Pakistan and Malaysia, noting the continuous strengthening of bilateral relations in areas such as trade, investment, education, defense, and cultural exchanges. He expressed optimism about further deepening these ties for the benefit of both nations.

President Zardari also wished for the good health of Malaysia’s leadership and the continued prosperity and peace of its citizens.
