President Zardari Honors Kyrgyzstan’s Historical Legacy During Official Visit


Bishkek: President Asif Ali Zardari, on an official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic, paid tribute to the nation’s historical legacy and held discussions aimed at enhancing economic and parliamentary cooperation between the two countries. During his visit, President Zardari laid a wreath at the Ata Beit Memorial Complex and met with the Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament to explore ways of converting political goodwill into tangible collaboration.



According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari’s visit included a stop at the Ata Beit Memorial Museum, where he observed historical artifacts that document Kyrgyzstan’s journey to sovereignty. The museum also features a memorial dedicated to Chingiz Aitmatov, a celebrated Kyrgyz writer. The visit underscores the longstanding relationship between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan, with both sides expressing a commitment to deepen parliamentary engagement, expand trade, and strengthen people-to-people exchanges.



President Zardari’s arrival in Kyrgyzstan was marked by a warm reception at Manas International Airport by the Speaker of the Kyrgyz Republic’s Parliament, Mamataliev Marlen Abdyrakhmanovich, and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Altamash Wazir Khan. The discussions with the Kyrgyz Speaker focused on the importance of robust inter-parliamentary engagement to ensure continuity in bilateral relations, with both leaders affirming their dedication to fostering closer ties.
