Islamabad: Acting Chairman Senate Syedal Khan Nasar paid tribute to Abdul Sattar Edhi on the occasion of his 10th death anniversary, highlighting his lasting impact on humanitarian efforts and compassion for all.
According to Senate of Pakistan, Nasar emphasized Edhi’s lifelong dedication to serving marginalized members of society through the Edhi Foundation, which remains one of the world’s most notable humanitarian organizations. Edhi’s establishment of the world’s largest voluntary ambulance service, along with orphanages, shelters, and other welfare institutions, continues to provide essential services globally.
Nasar acknowledged Edhi as a national asset of Pakistan, whose commitment to public service still inspires the nation. On this occasion, he called for a renewed national commitment to uphold Edhi’s legacy by fostering humanitarian values and strengthening social responsibility.
The Acting Chairman concluded with a prayer for Edhi, hoping for his elevation in the afterlife and seeking strength for all to follow his example of selfless service.
