ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has called upon the youth of Pakistan to cultivate the habit of reading newspapers, emphasizing the importance of staying informed through both print and digital platforms. Highlighting the evolving media landscape, President Zardari assured the press of his ongoing support for upholding high journalistic standards and fostering an environment conducive to a free press.
According to Radio Pakistan, in a message delivered on National Newspapers Readership Day, the President noted that newspaper readership has expanded beyond traditional print formats, increasingly engaging audiences through digital means and online access. He emphasized the importance of youths equipping themselves with modern technological skills to adapt to these changes.
The President expressed optimism that organizations such as the All Pakistan Newspaper Society (APNS) and the Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) would continue to play a vital role in contributing to informed national discourse and enhancing public understanding of both regional and global developments.
