PRESIDENT URGES END TO GAZA SIEGE AT AMBASSADORIAL CEREMONY

ISLAMABAD, President Dr. Arif Alvi, during a credential-presenting ceremony for incoming ambassadors, reiterated Pakistan’s stance on ending the siege in Gaza and establishing a humanitarian corridor for Palestinians.

According to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, ambassadors from various countries, including Dr. Maen A.M. Khreasat of Jordan, Archbishop Germano Penemote Apostolic Nuncio of the Holy See, Ladislav Steinhubel of the Czech Republic, Colonel (r) Pengiran Haji Kamal Bashah bin Pengiran Haji Ahmad of Brunei Darussalam, and Ali Mubarak Al-Khater of Qatar, presented their credentials to President Alvi. The President expressed his concerns about the ongoing Israeli aggression against Palestinian civilians, leading to thousands of casualties. Engaging with the envoys, President Alvi emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening economic, political, and cultural ties with friendly nations and promoting bilateral trade and investment. The establishment of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) was mentioned, emphasizing its role in offering a unified investment platform in Pakistan’s IT, corporate farming, minerals, and energy sectors. Dr. Arif Alvi also touched upon the human rights issues in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He concluded by congratulating the ambassadors on their new roles, expressing hope for stronger ties between their nations and Pakistan.
