Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have reaffirmed their commitment to address humanitarian challenges and support vulnerable communities, as highlighted in their messages on World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day.
According to Radio Pakistan, both leaders paid tribute to the volunteers, staff, and partners of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society for their dedicated humanitarian services. President Zardari emphasized the crucial role of humanitarian workers in strengthening health systems, responding to emergencies, and assisting those in need. He called on all stakeholders to renew their commitment to humanity, solidarity, and public service for a safer and more inclusive Pakistan.
Prime Minister Sharif acknowledged the contributions of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society in disaster relief, blood supply, healthcare, and community outreach. He stated that the government values the organization’s services and is committed to further strengthening cooperation with it in the future.
